Music

Today I'll write in English. Not that I need to internacionalize the blog but because it flows better.

Well downloaded yesterday two new albums of bands that I like a lot, Dinosaur Jr. and The Mars Volta.

Dinosaur Jr. had announced a couple months ago that gonna to reunited the old guys of the band and I just got a little anxious. Well, I was right anxious they still have the "touch". This new album (Farm) is the proof that not always the reunion of "old" bands are a bad thing to do.

If you want to listen more just visit their myspace at http://www.myspace.com/dinosaurjr

The other one is the new album of The Mars Volta (Octahedron), I just copy+paste an comment of a blog that spoke about this also:

"Octahedron is the stunning new album from The Mars Volta. An album heady with the emotion and high-drama that has always been the bands trademark, their newfound simplicity and focus has delivered some of the most immediate and powerful songs in their discography. The album opens with the tender ache of Since Weve Been Wrong, Cedrics keening vocal establishing a mood thats deeply blue, powerfully melancholic, a suckerpunch that hits every bit as hard as Octahedrons unashamed rockers (the gleaming futuristic funk of Teflon, the tense chase-music of Cotopaxi). Pulling back from the full-tilt experimentation of previous releases, the album invests its energies in Omars gift for songcraft, for swooning guitar runs of high tension and
emotive power (Luciforms epic riffage), and for the nagging hooks and melodies that wreath the churning rhythms of Desperate Graves."

A great great album (as always expected from them!!)
